Discover the documentary film “Italo Calvino, the Writer in the Trees”, which explores the life and work of one of the 20th century’s most influential Italian writers, Italo Calvino, and his iconic novel The Baron in the Trees.
Through interviews, archive footage and extracts from his works, the film paints an intimate and captivating portrait of Calvino. Poetic and mischievous, the writer tells his story with the joyful fantasy, precision and evocative power that characterize his writing.
Martin Rueff, translator of Italo Calvino and professor of literature at the University of Geneva, will lead the discussion.
This event is organized in collaboration with the association amitalia (Crans-Montana).
