The Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier in the Alps. According to glaciologists, at the end of this century, only a few fragments will remain, while the other glaciers will have disappeared. With Aletsch Negative and through a photographic exploration into the belly of the glacier, Laurence Bonvin offers an intimate, sensory and almost physical experience that disturbs our perception of colors, spatial and temporal scales and our relationship to the ice giant and its future, which is also ours.
Laurence Bonvin will present her book, with the intervention of scientists. Aletsch Negative is also a film (2019), selected among others at the Berlinale, which has just won the Swiss film prize at the Fantoche Animation Festival in Baden. It will be projected on the sidelines of the book launch.
