Violinist Camille Théveneau and cellist Adèle Théveneau will perform in the auditorium of Fondation Opale.

Through sonatas by Maurice Ravel, Zoltán Kodály, and duets by Reinhold Glière, the sister duo presents a programme centred on folklore and emotionally resonant melodies. Following the concert, Adèle and Camille Théveneau will engage in a discussion with the audience to explore the ethnomusicological work of these composers.

Adèle Théveneau, a member of the Orchestre National d’Île-de-France, was admitted at the age of 15 to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse (CNSMD) in Paris, where she studied with Michel Strauss and completed her Master’s degree under cellist Marc Coppey. She is a prizewinner of the Tremplin competition and a scholarship holder of the Lions Club of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.

Camille Théveneau began playing the violin at the age of 6. She studied at the CNSMD in Lyon and also studied in Germany with violinist Marina Chiche, before joining the CNSMD in Paris. She has distinguished herself in international competitions, including Georges Cziffra, Henri Vieuxtemps, Marie Cantagrill, Flame, and C.I.M Val d’Isère, and has shared the stage with artists such as Renaud Capuçon, Didier Lockwood, and Karine Lethiec.
