BENEATH THE REFLECTIONS OF THE WORLD opens this Sunday, June 15. To mark the occasion, you are invited to discover the new exhibition free of charge from 10am to 6pm, following a roundtable discussion with Samuel Gross, curator of the exhibition, Clare Elliott and Georges Petitjean.

Samuel Gross is a curator and art critic. He has worked as Director of the Speerstra Foundation in Apples; at the Galerie Evergreene in Geneva as Artistic Director; and at MAMCO, Geneva’s Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, as assistant Curator. From 2016 to 2020, he was Chief Curator of the Istituto Svizzero in Milan, Rome, and Palermo. He is currently Curator in charge of the Exhibitions Department at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva.

Clare Elliott is a specialist in the artist Forrest Bess. In 2013, she curated Forrest Bess: Seeing Things Invisible at The Menil Collection in Houston, Texas, where she currently serves as Associate Research Curator. Clare Elliott contributes regularly to exhibition catalogues and art journals. In 2023, she took part in the exhibition The Curatorial Imagination of Walter Hopps.

Georges Petitjean is a specialist in Aboriginal art, Curator of the Bérengère Primat Collection, and Curator of Contemporary Aboriginal Art Exhibitions at Fondation Opale. He is an art historian and earned his PhD on Western Desert Art at La Trobe University in Melbourne. His main field of interest is the transition of Australian Aboriginal art from its original context to the contemporary art world.
