Founded in 1951, the Swiss Institute for Art Research (ISEA) is a national and international center of excellence in art history and art technology. Its activities focus on research, documentation, knowledge transfer and services in the field of Swiss fine art, from the Middle Ages to the present day. Thanks to its new portal, which includes the Dictionary of Swiss Art and numerous artists’ catalogs, the ISEA offers professionals and art lovers alike reference documentation on art in our country. In 2023, it produced “catalogues raisonnés” of works by Augusto Giacometti and Markus Raetz.
