The Amitalia Association is dedicated to promoting Italian art and culture in Crans-Montana and across Switzerland through its Cycles of Great Art Films.

This year, at the Lens Art Center, Amitalia presents The Bad Poet (Il Cattivo Poeta), a landmark film about national icon Gabriele D’Annunzio, who attempts to speak to the Duce and persuade him of the absurdity of war.

Confined to his luxurious villa, the celebrated poet Gabriele D’Annunzio gathers his remaining strength to try to convince the Duce. Giovanni Comini, a young man of 29 promised a bright future within the Party, is tasked with preventing this meeting at all costs, a real challenge for someone who idolizes the poet…
